What this trial studies
This study focuses on translating the Revised High-Level Mobility Assessment Tool (HiMAT) into Urdu to assess high-level mobility in healthy children aged 5-12 years. The translation process involves forward and backward translation by bilingual translators, synthesis of the translated versions, and evaluation by an expert committee. The final translated tool will undergo testing for validity and reliability to ensure it accurately measures mobility in the target population. The psychometric properties of the tool will be analyzed to confirm its effectiveness for clinical use.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are healthy children aged 5-12 years who can understand and follow instructions in Urdu.
Not a fit: Children with conditions affecting mobility, visual impairments, or any recent surgeries will not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this translation could provide Urdu-speaking clinicians with a reliable tool to assess mobility in children, enhancing their ability to monitor and support physical development.
How similar studies have performed: While the translation of assessment tools is common, this specific approach to translating and validating the HiMAT in Urdu is novel and has not been extensively tested in similar populations.
