What this trial studies

This study evaluates the effects of rhythmic auditory stimulation on dyslexic readers aged 7 to 9 years. Participants will undergo 30 sessions of auditory training over 6 weeks, aimed at correcting neural oscillations that may hinder reading abilities. The study includes behavioral and electrophysiological assessments at various stages to measure improvements in phonemic categorization and reading skills. Four groups will be compared, each receiving different training sequences involving auditory rhythmic training and grapho-phonological training.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates are children aged 7 to 9 years diagnosed with dyslexia and attending regular schooling.

Not a fit: Patients with other language impairments, neurological disorders, or psychiatric conditions may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this approach could significantly enhance reading abilities in children with dyslexia.

How similar studies have performed: While this approach is innovative, similar studies have shown promise in using auditory training to improve reading skills in dyslexic individuals.
