What this trial studies
This research project evaluates the effectiveness of the VEGA Family Violence Education Resources in enhancing the knowledge and clinical responses of clinical psychology doctoral students regarding family violence. Participants from accredited Clinical Psychology programs across Canada will be randomly assigned to either an intervention group, which will complete the online training, or a wait-list control group. The study will measure changes in knowledge, attitudes, and skills related to responding to family violence in clinical settings through pre- and post-training assessments. A subset of students from the intervention group will also participate in qualitative interviews to provide deeper insights into their experiences.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are clinical psychology graduate students enrolled in accredited programs in Canada who are engaged in clinical work.
Not a fit: Patients currently receiving training on child maltreatment or intimate partner violence outside of their course material may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
