What this trial studies

This project aims to evaluate the impact of a rational drug management training program on the attitudes of parents with hospitalized children. It employs a randomized controlled design, dividing participants into experimental and control groups, where the experimental group receives education on rational drug use. The study seeks to compare attitude scores between the two groups to assess the effectiveness of the intervention. This approach is novel as it focuses specifically on parents of hospitalized children, a demographic that has been underrepresented in previous studies.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates are parents of children aged 0-12 who are currently hospitalized and have not previously received training on rational drug use.

Not a fit: Parents who are illiterate or have cognitive impairments, as well as those with vision or hearing impairments, may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this program could enhance parents' understanding and attitudes towards rational drug use, leading to better health outcomes for their children.

How similar studies have performed: While there have been descriptive studies on parents' knowledge and attitudes towards rational drug use, this intervention approach is novel and has not been previously tested.
