What this trial studies
This study examines the effectiveness of a multi-media experiential training program designed to enhance advance care planning (ACP) skills among nursing staff in acute care settings. It involves a cluster randomized controlled trial with 234 nurses from 26 hospital wards, comparing those who receive the training to those who do not. The study aims to assess improvements in nurses' decision-support skills, knowledge, confidence, and attitudes towards ACP over 12 and 24 weeks. The research is guided by the Theory of Planned Behaviour to analyze the impact of these factors on skill performance.
