What this trial studies
This trial evaluates the effects of high-quality training for consumer-directed home health workers on health outcomes for care consumers and employment outcomes for the workers themselves. Conducted within California's In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) program, the study will randomly assign IHSS workers in San Bernardino County to receive either training from the Center for Caregiver Advancement or no training at all. The training consists of a 30-hour online course focused on fundamental caregiving skills, aiming to enhance the quality of care provided to elderly and disabled individuals.
