What this trial studies

This observational study focuses on training medical doctors and nurses in emergency home delivery techniques using mannequin simulations. Participants will undergo a frontal lecture followed by simulated scenarios to practice their skills. After the initial training, a debriefing session will be conducted, and a second simulation will take place. Participants will complete a questionnaire before and after the training to assess the perceived value of their participation.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are medical doctors and nurses involved in maternal and neonatal care.

Not a fit: Patients who are not involved in home birth scenarios or those who do not have access to trained medical professionals may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this training could enhance the skills of medical professionals in managing emergency home births, potentially improving outcomes for mothers and infants.

How similar studies have performed: While there is limited data on similar training programs specifically for home birth emergencies, simulation-based training has shown success in improving clinical skills in various medical fields.
