What this trial studies
This clinical trial evaluates the effectiveness of a supervised multicomponent therapeutic exercise program aimed at reducing fatigue in patients with glenohumeral joint instability. The study will recruit 108 adult participants who have experienced at least one episode of shoulder instability in the past year. Participants will be randomly assigned to either the intervention group, which will undergo the exercise program, or a control group. The trial is designed as a single-blind randomized controlled trial to ensure unbiased results.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are adults aged 18 to 64 who have experienced glenohumeral instability within the last year.
Not a fit: Patients with underlying diseases affecting exercise capacity or those who do not speak Spanish may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this program could significantly reduce fatigue and improve quality of life for patients suffering from shoulder instability.
How similar studies have performed: While there is ongoing research in shoulder instability, this specific approach focusing on fatigue reduction through a therapeutic exercise program is relatively novel.
