What this trial studies

Researchers will perform a cross-cultural adaptation of the Berg Balance Scale into Albanian using accepted translation and back-translation procedures. The adapted instrument will be distributed to eligible participants and administered in a standardized way. Collected data will be analyzed to measure the scale's validity and reliability in the target population. The work is observational and focuses on measurement properties rather than a therapeutic intervention.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Adults who speak Albanian and have balance problems, postural pain, or muscular contractions are the intended participants.

Not a fit: People with mixed fractures, recent trauma, luxation, tumors, or those who cannot attend the Murcia assessment site are unlikely to benefit from participating.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, clinicians will have a validated Albanian-language balance test to more accurately measure and track balance in their patients.

How similar studies have performed: Cross-cultural adaptations of the Berg Balance Scale in other languages have generally shown good validity and reliability, so this approach is well established.
