What this trial studies
This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of various neuromodulation stimulation parameters in treating chronic pain. Participants will undergo a blinded assessment where different stimulation methods will be applied to determine which is most effective. The study focuses on patients who are candidates for implantation of a neuromodulation device, ensuring a targeted approach to chronic pain management.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are patients who are eligible for and have consented to the implantation of a neuromodulation device.
Not a fit: Patients who are non-English speaking may not benefit from this study due to communication barriers.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to more effective treatments for patients suffering from chronic pain.
How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown promise in using neuromodulation for chronic pain, suggesting that this approach may be effective.
