What this trial studies
The BASIS Optimization project aims to evaluate the effectiveness of an online program called eBASIS in enhancing the delivery of evidence-based practices (EBPs) in school mental health settings. This randomized controlled trial will compare the impact of eBASIS on treatment fidelity and youth outcomes against a digitally delivered control group. The study focuses on mental health providers who are already trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Plus, utilizing the Theory of Planned Behavior to influence provider behaviors and improve the implementation of EBPs. By addressing individual-level processes, the project seeks to increase the adoption and effectiveness of mental health services for youth in schools.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are mental health providers who spend at least two hours providing support in school settings and are registered for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Plus training.
Not a fit: Patients who do not work as mental health providers in school settings may not receive any benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this program could significantly enhance the quality of mental health services provided to youth in school settings.
How similar studies have performed: Preliminary trials of the BASIS approach have shown promising results in improving provider engagement and implementation of evidence-based practices.
