What this trial studies
This study evaluates the safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetic parameters of Grammidin with anesthetic, a metered spray, compared to Grammidin with anesthetic neo, which is a lozenge. The trial involves healthy volunteers aged 18 to 45 who meet specific health criteria. Participants will receive either the metered spray or the lozenge to assess how well the spray works and how it is absorbed in the body. The study aims to gather important data on the new formulation's effectiveness and safety profile.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are healthy men and women aged 18 to 45 with no significant health deviations.
Not a fit: Patients with existing health conditions or those outside the specified age range may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this could lead to a more effective and convenient treatment option for pharyngitis.
How similar studies have performed: While similar studies have explored throat treatments, this specific approach with a metered spray is relatively novel.
