What this trial studies
This study examines the effects of a telerehabilitation program on recovery after a burn injury. It compares a traditional physical therapy approach with a technology-enhanced method that includes a habit-tracking application and virtual therapy sessions. The goal is to improve range of motion and quality of life for burn patients. This pilot study will also assess feasibility, collect preliminary data, and gather patient feedback to inform future research.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are adults aged 18 to 79 who have sustained a burn injury affecting a joint and have access to the necessary technology.
Not a fit: Patients with medical conditions that increase risk, those participating in other trials, or those without internet access may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this program could significantly enhance recovery outcomes for burn patients by improving their physical function and overall quality of life.
How similar studies have performed: While similar telerehabilitation approaches have shown promise in other conditions, this specific application for post-burn recovery is relatively novel.

Exclusion Criteria: * Any medical condition that, in the opinion of the investigator or physician, would place the subject at increased risk for participation. * Concurrent participation on another interventional clinical trial * History of prior non-compliance or the presence or history of psychiatric condition (including drug or alcohol addiction) that would, in the opinion of the investigator, make it difficult for the subject to comply with the study procedures or follow the investigators instructions. * Patients without internet access.
