What this trial studies
This project focuses on patients diagnosed with atrial fibrillation and aims to implement a telerehabilitation program. The FP-AF program seeks to enhance the quality of life for patients and their relatives by providing education about atrial fibrillation, its symptoms, and management strategies. The approach is individualized, allowing patients to develop self-management techniques based on their clinical data and knowledge. The program is designed for adults over 18 who are capable of self-care and have basic computer skills.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this program are adults over 18 years old diagnosed with atrial fibrillation who live independently and have basic computer skills.
Not a fit: Patients who may not benefit from this program include those who are pregnant, have a life expectancy of less than a year, or cannot communicate in Danish.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this program could significantly improve the quality of life for patients with atrial fibrillation by empowering them with knowledge and self-management strategies.
How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown success with telerehabilitation approaches for chronic conditions, suggesting potential for positive outcomes in this novel application for atrial fibrillation.
