What this trial studies

This observational study explores the use of TeleRehabilitation to provide exercise training for patients with chronic respiratory disease. By utilizing information and communication technologies, the study aims to improve access to exercise programs that enhance patients' exercise tolerance, quality of life, and reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression. The approach focuses on stable patients who can engage with the technology required for remote exercise training. The goal is to address the low participation rates in traditional exercise programs for this population.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates include stable patients with chronic respiratory disease who experience dyspnea or exercise intolerance and can use a computer.

Not a fit: Patients with a life expectancy of less than three months or those with absolute contraindications to physical activity may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this approach could significantly improve the quality of life and physical capabilities of patients with chronic respiratory disease.

How similar studies have performed: While the concept of TeleRehabilitation is gaining traction, this specific application for chronic respiratory disease is relatively novel and has not been extensively tested in prior studies.
