What this trial studies

This study investigates the effects of telerehabilitation-based motor imagery training on patients suffering from non-specific low back pain. It aims to explore how motor imagery, which activates similar brain regions as actual movement, can lead to neuroplastic changes and potentially improve patient outcomes. Participants will engage in motor imagery training and stabilization exercises through a remote platform, leveraging technology to enhance rehabilitation access, especially in the context of increased telehealth interest due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are individuals with non-specific low back pain who are literate, have a BMI under 30, and possess basic computer skills.

Not a fit: Patients with serious orthopedic, neurological, or psychiatric conditions, as well as those who have undergone lumbar surgery, are unlikely to benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this approach could provide an innovative and accessible treatment option for patients with low back pain, potentially reducing their pain and improving functionality.

How similar studies have performed: While the concept of using motor imagery in rehabilitation is established, the specific application of telerehabilitation for low back pain is relatively novel and has not been extensively tested.
