What this trial studies

This study compares the effects of individual telerehabilitation with offline remote exercise videos and a control group with no intervention on balance in individuals with multiple sclerosis. A total of 60 participants will be randomly assigned to two experimental groups and one control group. The intervention lasts for 12 weeks, with one group engaging in live telerehabilitation sessions via ZOOM and the other following pre-recorded exercise videos. Balance and walking will be assessed before and after the intervention using both objective and subjective tests.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates include individuals diagnosed with multiple sclerosis who experience balance impairment and can independently use a computer or tablet.

Not a fit: Patients with severe cognitive deficits or other diseases that negatively affect balance may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this approach could enhance balance and overall mobility in patients with multiple sclerosis.

How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown promising results with telerehabilitation approaches for various conditions, suggesting potential success for this novel application in multiple sclerosis.
