What this trial studies
This study evaluates a technology-based information and coaching program designed specifically for Asian American midlife women who are family caregivers for individuals living with Alzheimer's disease. The program aims to improve health outcomes for these caregivers and their care recipients. Participants will be randomly assigned to either the intervention group, which will use the TACAD program, or a control group that will not use the program. The study will involve 60 self-reported Asian American women aged 40 to 65 who meet specific criteria, including language proficiency and internet access.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are Asian American midlife women aged 40 to 65 who are family caregivers for individuals living with Alzheimer's disease.
Not a fit: Patients who do not identify as Asian American or who are not family caregivers of individuals with Alzheimer's disease may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this program could significantly enhance the well-being and health outcomes of Asian American family caregivers of Alzheimer's patients.
How similar studies have performed: While similar technology-based interventions have shown promise in other populations, this specific approach tailored for Asian American caregivers is relatively novel.
