What this trial studies

This clinical trial investigates a suture-less surgical technique for managing cicatricial upper eyelid entropion. The approach aims to evaluate the long-term efficacy of this innovative procedure in correcting the eyelid condition. Patients aged 16 and older with no prior eyelid surgeries will be included, while those with previous surgeries or other types of entropion will be excluded. The study is conducted at the Faculty of Medicine in Minya, Egypt.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates are individuals aged 16 and older with upper eyelid cicatricial entropion and no history of previous eyelid surgery.

Not a fit: Patients with a history of previous eyelid surgery or those suffering from senile or mechanical entropion may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this treatment could provide a less invasive option for patients suffering from cicatricial upper eyelid entropion.

How similar studies have performed: There is limited information on similar suture-less techniques for this specific condition, making this approach relatively novel.
