What this trial studies

This intervention focuses on implementing peer support groups using a solution-focused approach among school children in 5th to 7th grade in southeastern Norway. The study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of these support groups in reducing bullying, enhancing mental health, improving quality of life, and increasing self-efficacy among participants. A cluster randomized controlled trial design will be used, with a process evaluation to assess the implementation and impact of the intervention. The investigators hypothesize that the intervention will lead to positive outcomes not only for participants but also for the broader school community.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are school children in 5th to 7th grade attending primary schools with more than 200 students.

Not a fit: Children attending smaller primary schools with less than 200 students may not benefit from this study.

Inclusion Criteria:

* Primary Schools with more than 200 students
* Public Health Nurse employed in a 50% position or more

Exclusion Criteria:

* Primary Schools with less than 200 students
