Sleep patterns in psoriatic arthritis and SAPHO syndrome
Typological Study of Sleep Pathologies During Psoriatic Rheumatism and SAPHO Syndrome: Prospective Study Within the Paris Saint-Joseph Hospital Group"
This project will see how sleep problems, including breathing-related sleep disorders, occur in adults with psoriatic arthritis or SAPHO syndrome who need hospital sleep evaluation.

What this trial studies
This is a prospective observational project conducted at Hôpital Paris Saint-Joseph that enrolls adults with diagnosed psoriatic arthritis or SAPHO syndrome who present sleep complaints warranting inpatient evaluation. Enrolled patients will undergo hospital-based sleep investigations, likely including questionnaires and polysomnography or other sleep recordings, to characterize types and severity of sleep pathologies. Patients already followed for a sleep disorder or who had polysomnography in the past two years are excluded. No experimental treatments are given; data will be used to describe sleep disorder patterns and their relationship with pain and inflammatory disease features.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Adults (18+) with a confirmed diagnosis of psoriatic arthritis or SAPHO syndrome who are followed at Paris Saint-Joseph Hospital, speak French, and require hospitalization for further sleep investigation are ideal candidates.
Not a fit: Patients already followed for a sleep disorder, those who had polysomnography within the last two years, end-of-life patients, or those under legal protection or deprived of liberty are unlikely to benefit from participation.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, the results could lead to better detection and management of sleep disorders in people with psoriatic arthritis or SAPHO, potentially improving sleep quality and pain control.
How similar studies have performed: Previous observational work has linked inflammatory rheumatism to poor sleep and increased rates of sleep apnea, but detailed typological data specifically in psoriatic arthritis and SAPHO syndrome remain limited.
