What this trial studies
This study evaluates two rehabilitation models for patients newly diagnosed with head and neck cancer. Participants are randomly assigned to either a self-help rehabilitation model or a conventional rehabilitation model. Trained oncology nurses conduct weekly surveys to assess emotional distress and collect blood samples at various intervals to analyze biomarkers. The goal is to determine the effectiveness of the self-management approach compared to traditional methods.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are adults aged 18 to 70 with a pathologically diagnosed head and neck malignancy who are experiencing psychological distress.
Not a fit: Patients with a history of other malignancies or mental illnesses may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
