Remission of mild-to-moderate asthma in Thai adults
Remission in Adults With Mild-to-moderate Asthma in Thailand
Thammasat University · NCT07351916
This project will see how common remission is in Thai adults with mild-to-moderate asthma using symptom questionnaires, spirometry, FeNO, and a blood eosinophil count.

What this trial studies
This is a cross-sectional observational project enrolling Thai adults aged 18 years or older with mild-to-moderate asthma. Participants complete two asthma-control questionnaires (GINA and ACT) and undergo spirometry, fractional exhaled nitric oxide (FeNO) testing, and a blood eosinophil count during a single visit. The main goals are to measure the prevalence of remission and to identify clinical or biomarker factors associated with remission in this population. Data will provide a snapshot of asthma control and physiological markers among clinic-attending adults in Pathum Thani.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Adults aged 18 years or older in Thailand with mild-to-moderate asthma who can perform spirometry and FeNO testing are eligible.
Not a fit: People with severe asthma, those under 18, or individuals unable to perform spirometry or FeNO testing are unlikely to be included or to directly benefit from this project.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, the results could clarify how many patients achieve remission and highlight factors that help clinicians identify people more likely to be in remission, informing follow-up and management.
How similar studies have performed: Similar cross-sectional studies internationally have reported remission rates and associated clinical or biomarker features, but population-specific data from Thailand are limited.
