What this trial studies
This observational registry study aims to investigate the prognostic value of biomarkers in patients diagnosed with mitral valve disease. Participants will be enrolled from Beijing Anzhen Hospital, where their medical records will be analyzed to assess outcomes such as all-cause mortality and readmission for heart failure. The study focuses on understanding how specific biomarkers can predict patient outcomes over time.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are adults diagnosed with mitral valve disease who were treated at Beijing Anzhen Hospital between April 2016 and December 2019.
Not a fit: Patients under 18 years old or those unable to provide necessary medical records will not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to improved prognostic tools for managing mitral valve disease, enhancing patient care.
How similar studies have performed: While the specific approach of this registry may be novel, similar studies investigating biomarkers in cardiovascular diseases have shown promising results.
