What this trial studies

This observational study involves 21 hematology centers across Turkey and aims to recruit 960 patients diagnosed with Thrombotic Thrombocytopenic Purpura (TTP). Participants will be followed for at least one year, during which data on their treatment and health outcomes will be collected through electronic case report forms. The study includes all patients diagnosed with aTTP since January 1, 2015, regardless of their treatment history. The goal is to gather comprehensive data to better understand the disease and its management in the Turkish population.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates are adults aged 18 and older diagnosed with aTTP after January 1, 2015, with specific laboratory findings.

Not a fit: Patients who do not meet the inclusion criteria or who refuse to sign the informed consent form will not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could enhance understanding of TTP and improve patient management strategies.

How similar studies have performed: While observational studies on TTP exist, this specific multicenter registry approach is relatively novel in Turkey.
