What this trial studies
This registry aims to create the first prospective, multicentric database of patients suffering from malignant hypertension, a severe form of high blood pressure. It will assess the modern epidemiology of the disease, the diversity of current management strategies, and deepen understanding of its pathophysiology. By recruiting 500 patients, the study will evaluate their prognosis over five years and analyze the impact of various factors on their health outcomes. The ultimate goal is to develop evidence-based diagnostic and therapeutic recommendations for this condition.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are adults aged 18 and older diagnosed with malignant hypertension or severe hypertension with acute damage to multiple target organs.
Not a fit: Patients under 18 years old, those unable to provide consent, or individuals on dialysis will not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this registry could lead to improved diagnostic criteria and treatment recommendations for malignant hypertension, enhancing patient care.
How similar studies have performed: While there is limited research on malignant hypertension, this registry approach is novel and aims to fill significant gaps in understanding the condition.
