What this trial studies
This registry aims to collect comprehensive data on patients diagnosed with bicuspid aortic valve disease. It will assess patterns of aortic dilation and responses to medical therapy through serial imaging. Additionally, the registry will explore potential genetic markers associated with this condition, contributing to a better understanding of the disease's progression and treatment options.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates include adults over 18 with a diagnosis of bicuspid aortic valve disease or a family history of the condition.
Not a fit: Patients who are unable or unwilling to provide informed consent will not benefit from this registry.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this registry could enhance the understanding of bicuspid aortic valve disease and improve patient management strategies.
How similar studies have performed: While this registry approach is common, the specific focus on bicuspid aortic valve disease may provide novel insights into this condition.
