What this trial studies

This observational registry collects data from adult patients who have been newly diagnosed or have relapsed/refractory acute myeloid leukemia (AML). The study aims to gather epidemiological information, evaluate clinical outcomes such as relapse-free survival and overall survival, and document treatment strategies across multiple sites in Germany. By comparing the collected data with population-related tumor registries, the study seeks to enhance understanding of AML demographics and treatment effectiveness.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are adults aged 18 and older who have been diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia.

Not a fit: Patients who do not have acute myeloid leukemia or are under 18 years old may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this registry could improve understanding of AML and lead to better treatment strategies for patients.

How similar studies have performed: Other observational studies in hematology have shown success in improving patient outcomes through data collection and analysis, making this approach promising.
