What this trial studies

This observational study aims to create a comprehensive registry that collects and analyzes data on demographic characteristics, laboratory results, treatment strategies, complications, and outcomes of patients who have undergone hepatic transplantation. Conducted at Methodist Dallas Medical Center, the study will gather information from patients starting in January 2019 and will continue until sufficient statistical significance is achieved. Data will be collected post-discharge using ICD-10 procedure codes to ensure a thorough evaluation of transplant risk factors.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are adults aged 18 years and older who are undergoing hepatic transplantation.

Not a fit: Patients who do not meet the inclusion criteria for hepatic transplantation will not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this registry could lead to more accurate predictive models for transplant risk, ultimately improving patient outcomes.

How similar studies have performed: Other studies have successfully utilized registries to improve understanding of transplant outcomes, indicating that this approach has potential for meaningful insights.
