What this trial studies
This observational study aims to create a multi-site registry of patients who will receive the Exact Sciences Multicancer Early Detection (MCED) test annually for three years. Participants will be monitored for cancer diagnoses, and data will be collected for five years following their initial test. The study will gather self-reported data on the testing experience and extract data from existing electronic health records for comparison with individuals who did not receive the MCED test.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are individuals aged 50 to 80 who are willing to undergo the MCED test and provide informed consent.
Not a fit: Patients with a history of invasive tumors or current cancer suspicion will not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could enhance early cancer detection and improve patient outcomes through better screening practices.
How similar studies have performed: Other studies utilizing similar early detection approaches have shown promise, indicating potential for success in this registry.
