What this trial studies

This observational study aims to create a registry for individuals at high risk of developing pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC). It focuses on the discovery and validation of early detection tests and employs advanced machine learning algorithms to analyze databases and images for identifying early stages of pancreatic cancer. The study will also facilitate the development of interventional protocols aimed at early detection of PDAC. Participants will undergo bio-specimen collection and MRI to support these objectives.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are individuals aged 18 and older who meet the criteria for being high-risk for pancreatic cancer.

Not a fit: Patients with a personal history of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma or those who have undergone total pancreatectomy may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to earlier detection of pancreatic cancer, improving treatment outcomes for high-risk patients.

How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown promise in using machine learning for early detection of cancers, suggesting potential success for this approach.
