What this trial studies

This observational registry aims to gather clinical data and medical images from patients with a CILCA arch who are undergoing surgical or endovascular repair for aortic diseases. It focuses on understanding the unique anatomical features of the CILCA arch and their implications for postoperative complications. The study will enroll approximately 500 patients across multiple international centers, with follow-up assessments at 30 days, 12 months, and annually thereafter. The goal is to provide insights into the management strategies required for this specific anatomical variant.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this registry are adults aged 18 and older with a CILCA arch who are being treated for aortic diseases such as dissections or aneurysms.

Not a fit: Patients with contraindications to computed tomography or those who are pregnant may not benefit from this registry.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this registry could improve surgical and endovascular treatment strategies for patients with CILCA arch, potentially reducing postoperative complications.

How similar studies have performed: While there is increasing literature on the CILCA arch, this registry represents a novel approach to systematically collect data on its management and outcomes.
