What this trial studies
This registry collects data on the safety and effectiveness of systemic therapies for atopic dermatitis, including both short and long-term outcomes. It aims to evaluate the impact of these treatments on the quality of life for both children and adults. The study also investigates the safety of topical therapies and the effectiveness of various care methods, including patient training. By gathering this information, the registry seeks to inform treatment guidelines and support shared decision-making between patients and healthcare providers.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates include pediatric and adult patients with atopic eczema who are starting or switching to a specific systemic immuno-modulatory agent due to the severity of their condition.
Not a fit: Patients currently participating in a randomized clinical trial or those who do not understand the study requirements may not benefit from this registry.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this registry could enhance treatment strategies and improve quality of life for patients with atopic dermatitis.
How similar studies have performed: Other studies have successfully utilized registries to assess treatment effectiveness and safety in dermatological conditions, indicating a promising approach.
