What this trial studies
This study aims to recruit and screen healthy volunteers aged 18 to 60 for participation in clinical trials at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases' Vaccine Research Center. The screening process involves assessing volunteers' medical history and conducting laboratory tests to determine their eligibility for various investigational vaccine studies. The goal is to better understand the immune system and the efficacy of vaccines and monoclonal antibodies. Participants will also provide blood samples for future research related to these investigational products.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are healthy individuals aged 18 to 60 who can provide informed consent and are willing to participate in blood sample collection.
Not a fit: Patients with conditions that pose risks with blood draws or those requiring active medical intervention may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could enhance the development of effective vaccines and treatments for infectious diseases.
How similar studies have performed: Other studies have successfully utilized similar screening approaches to recruit volunteers for vaccine trials, indicating a proven methodology.
