What this trial studies
This pilot study evaluates a new treatment manual designed for individuals suffering from Gaming Disorder, utilizing modules based on cognitive behavioral therapy and family therapy. Participants, aged 13 and older, will undergo a semi-structured interview and complete self-assessment questionnaires before and after the treatment. The therapy can be delivered individually or as family therapy, focusing on reducing symptoms of Gaming Disorder and improving daily functioning. Follow-up assessments will occur three months post-treatment to evaluate long-term effectiveness.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are individuals aged 13 and older who are seeking treatment for problematic gaming or Gaming Disorder and can communicate in Swedish.
Not a fit: Patients with severe psychiatric or somatic conditions that complicate treatment implementation may not benefit from this study.

Inclusion Criteria: * Can read and speak Swedish fluidly. * ≥ 13 years of age * Are treatment seeking for problematic gaming or Gaming disorder Exclusion Criteria: - Somatic or psychiatric disease that is contraindicating or severely complicates the implementation of the intervention (e.g., ongoing psychotic, manic or hypomanic episode or neuropsychiatric condition with severe disability)
