What this trial studies

ProGAP is an international, cross-sectional survey that collects practice-level data from physicians who treat prostate cancer to map differences in diagnosis and management across countries grouped by income level. Participants complete a 17-question online survey covering demographics, clinical practice environment, patient stages treated, guideline adherence, availability and use of diagnostic and treatment options, and multidisciplinary care. The study compares responses across low-, lower-middle-, upper-middle-, and high-income settings to quantify disparities in access to standard and novel therapies. Results will be analyzed centrally by the coordinating team at Ankara University.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Physicians who actively treat prostate cancer—urologists, uro-oncologists, medical oncologists, and radiation oncologists—are eligible to participate.

Not a fit: Patients who receive care from non-participating clinicians or live in countries not represented in the survey may not see immediate benefit.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, the results could identify care gaps so health systems and policymakers can target resources and guidelines to improve access and outcomes for patients.

How similar studies have performed: Previous international surveys and observational studies have documented regional gaps in cancer care, so the approach is established though comprehensive global comparisons remain limited.
