What this trial studies
This study investigates the effectiveness of a no-fat diet supplemented with medium-chain triglyceride (MCT) oil in preventing chyle leaks in patients undergoing major pancreatic surgery with vein resection. Patients will be randomized into two groups: one receiving the diet immediately after surgery and the other starting the diet only if a chyle leak is diagnosed.
