What this trial studies

This study investigates the effectiveness of Pilates exercises in alleviating dysmenorrhea among women aged 18-50. Participants will be randomly assigned to different exercise groups and will engage in Pilates sessions for six weeks, twice a week. Pain intensity and relief will be measured using various scales before and after the intervention. The study aims to contribute valuable data to the existing literature on non-pharmacological treatments for menstrual pain.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates are women aged 18-50 who experience menstrual pain during their cycles.

Not a fit: Patients with a history of abdominal surgery, active infections, or conditions that prevent exercise may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could provide a non-invasive treatment option for women suffering from dysmenorrhea.

How similar studies have performed: While there is limited research specifically on Pilates for dysmenorrhea, similar non-pharmacological approaches have shown promise in managing menstrual pain.
