What this trial studies

This study compares the effects of different types of Pilates exercises, supervised by a physiotherapist, on pain, endurance, and muscle strength in individuals suffering from non-specific low back pain. Participants will engage in various Pilates programs, including Reformer Pilates and online Pilates, to determine which approach is most effective. The study aims to provide insights into the reliability and benefits of these exercise interventions for improving patient outcomes.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates are adults aged 18 to 60 with non-specific low back pain lasting more than 12 weeks and a pain level between 3 and 7 on the Visual Analog Scale.

Not a fit: Patients with recent spinal surgery, neurological or chronic systemic diseases, or severe pain restricting movement may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could provide a non-invasive and effective exercise regimen for individuals suffering from low back pain.

How similar studies have performed: Previous studies have shown positive outcomes with Pilates exercises for low back pain, indicating that this approach is supported by existing evidence.
