What this trial studies

This study focuses on individuals who have undergone allogeneic bone marrow transplantation for blood cancers, which often results in severe side effects due to high doses of chemotherapy. The APOLLO team aims to understand the experiences of these patients by providing them with a supportive care app and access to nursing, exercise, and nutrition experts via telephone. Through qualitative research, the study will identify the most effective types and timing of support needed to alleviate long-term physical and psychological effects. The goal is to enhance the rehabilitation process for these patients who often face challenges in accessing care.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are individuals eligible for allogeneic bone marrow transplantation.

Not a fit: Patients who are not undergoing allogeneic transplantation will not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this program could significantly improve the quality of life and recovery outcomes for patients after bone marrow transplantation.

How similar studies have performed: While there may be similar supportive care approaches, this specific program's focus on personalized rehabilitation in the context of allogeneic transplantation is relatively novel.
