What this trial studies
This study focuses on individuals with chronic heart failure, aiming to enhance the long-term benefits of cardiac rehabilitation programs through personalized follow-up in adapted physical activities. It addresses the challenge of maintaining physical activity after patients complete supervised rehabilitation, which is crucial for sustaining improvements in physical abilities and quality of life. The intervention involves tailored support to encourage ongoing exercise, thereby potentially reducing hospitalizations related to heart failure. The study is conducted in Brest, France, targeting patients who have participated in a cardiac rehabilitation program.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates include adults diagnosed with stable heart failure (NYHA stage I, II, or III) who have completed a cardiac rehabilitation program.
Not a fit: Patients who are minors, over 80 years old, or those under guardianship will not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this approach could significantly improve the quality of life and physical capabilities of heart failure patients by promoting sustained physical activity.
How similar studies have performed: While cardiac rehabilitation has proven benefits, this specific approach of personalized follow-up in adapted physical activities is relatively novel and has not been extensively tested.
