What this trial studies
This study compares the effectiveness of different pelvic floor muscle training (PFMT) methods to improve urinary incontinence recovery in men who have undergone radical prostatectomy for prostate cancer. Participants will be randomly assigned to one of three groups: standard PFMT, somatosensory interactive PFMT, or standard PFMT combined with pelvic floor muscle magnetic stimulation. The study aims to determine which method provides the best outcomes for post-operative urinary incontinence.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are men aged 18 to 85 who have undergone laparoscopic radical prostatectomy for prostate cancer.
Not a fit: Patients currently participating in other clinical trials or unable to follow study procedures may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could significantly improve recovery from urinary incontinence in men after prostate surgery.
How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown promising results with pelvic floor muscle training for urinary incontinence, suggesting this approach may be effective.
