What this trial studies
This study evaluates and optimizes the hardware and software of ultrasound and MRI machines to enhance imaging quality. It focuses on familiarizing technicians with new equipment and improving the contrast to noise and signal to noise ratios for better diagnostic capabilities. The research is conducted at SUNY Upstate Medical University, utilizing both existing and newly installed ultrasound/MRI units. The aim is to ensure that the latest imaging sequences and hardware are effectively integrated into clinical practice.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are healthy volunteers aged 18 to 70 with no contraindications for MRI procedures.
Not a fit: Patients with conditions such as claustrophobia, cardiac pacemakers, or those who are pregnant will not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to improved imaging quality, aiding in more accurate diagnoses for patients.
How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown success in optimizing imaging technologies, making this approach both relevant and beneficial.
