What this trial studies
This study implements an internet-based intervention called the Health Action Process Approach (eHAPA-MS) aimed at encouraging physical activity among individuals with Multiple Sclerosis. Participants will be randomized into intervention or control groups and will complete surveys and wear accelerometers to monitor their activity levels. The effectiveness and adherence to the program will be assessed over the intervention period. The study targets individuals who have not been physically active for a specified duration and are relapse-free.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are adults aged 18 and older with any type of Multiple Sclerosis who have low physical activity levels and reliable internet access.
Not a fit: Patients who are wheelchair-bound, bedridden, or have high leisure activity levels may not benefit from this intervention.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this intervention could significantly improve physical activity levels and overall health in individuals with Multiple Sclerosis.
How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown promise in using internet-based interventions to promote physical activity, indicating potential success for this approach.
