What this trial studies
This pilot trial examines the feasibility and acceptability of an online physical activity group designed for UK women who are experiencing peri- or post-menopausal symptoms and are currently working full-time. Participants will be randomly assigned to either the intervention group, which includes four weekly online sessions and an information leaflet, or a control group that only receives the leaflet. The study will assess recruitment ease, retention rates, participant satisfaction, and preliminary indications of increased physical activity levels. Data will be collected through self-report questionnaires at multiple time points throughout the study.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are women aged 30-60 who are currently working full-time and experiencing symptoms of perimenopause or menopause.
Not a fit: Patients who are physically active or do not meet the inclusion criteria, such as those with significant comorbid health conditions, may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this intervention could help improve physical activity levels and overall well-being for peri- and post-menopausal working women.
How similar studies have performed: While similar interventions have shown promise in increasing physical activity among specific populations, this particular approach is novel in its focus on peri- and post-menopausal working women.
