What this trial studies

This study involves adult patients with Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) who have not responded to standard medical treatments. Participants will receive gut-directed hypnotherapy administered online by a nurse trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. The effectiveness of the treatment will be evaluated using validated questionnaires at various time points, including baseline, during treatment, and at follow-ups six months, one year, and two years post-treatment. The primary focus is on assessing changes in gastrointestinal symptom severity.
