What this trial studies
Children who survive medulloblastoma often face long-term cognitive and physical side effects from surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. This pilot delivers individualized exercise sessions remotely via video conferencing, with supervised sessions three times weekly for 12 weeks. The program targets survivors within 36 months of completing therapy and excludes those with progressive disease or who cannot walk without support. The main goal is to determine whether this home-based approach is feasible and scalable across participating centers.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Children and adolescents who completed therapy for medulloblastoma, including craniospinal radiation, within the past 36 months and who can walk without support are ideal candidates.
Not a fit: Patients with progressive disease or those unable to walk without support are not likely to benefit from this remote exercise program.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, the program could improve cardiorespiratory fitness, motor function and cognitive outcomes while making rehabilitation accessible regardless of where patients live.
How similar studies have performed: Physical exercise has shown benefits for fitness, motor skills and cognition in pediatric brain tumor survivors, but remote video delivery specifically for medulloblastoma patients remains largely untested.
