What this trial studies
This study analyzes the effects of a synchronous-supervised online home-based exercise program over six months for patients undergoing breast cancer treatment. Participants will be divided into two groups: one receiving supervised exercise and the other receiving general exercise recommendations without supervision. The study aims to evaluate improvements in physical fitness, body composition, and adherence to the exercise regimen. By comparing these two approaches, the research seeks to determine the effectiveness of supervised exercise in enhancing the quality of life for cancer patients.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are adults aged 18 and older who have been diagnosed with breast cancer and are currently undergoing treatment.
Not a fit: Patients with medical contraindications for physical activity or those who refuse to participate may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this program could significantly improve the physical fitness and overall quality of life for breast cancer patients during treatment.
How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown positive outcomes with supervised exercise programs for cancer patients, indicating potential success for this approach.
