What this trial studies

This study aims to collect observational data on the management and outcomes of patients with Barrett's esophagus who have high-grade dysplasia or intramucosal carcinoma. It also seeks to understand the natural history of patients with low-grade dysplastic and non-dysplastic Barrett's esophagus. By monitoring these patients over time, the study will provide insights into disease progression and treatment effectiveness.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are adults over 18 years old diagnosed with Barrett's esophagus.

Not a fit: Patients under 18 years old or those who are pregnant will not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could improve the management and treatment strategies for patients with Barrett's esophagus, potentially leading to better outcomes.

How similar studies have performed: While observational studies on Barrett's esophagus exist, this specific cohort approach focusing on dysplasia and early cancer is relatively novel.
