What this trial studies
This observational study aims to establish a pediatric observatory within the allergology department at the Saint Vincent Hospital in Lille. It will collect comprehensive prospective data from children eligible for oral immunotherapy for various food allergies. Patients will be grouped based on the specific allergens they are sensitive to, and their progress will be monitored through regular visits and food challenge tests. The study seeks to analyze the effectiveness and safety of oral immunotherapy in desensitizing children to common food allergens.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are children under 15 years and 9 months with a confirmed diagnosis of food allergies and who are eligible for oral food challenges.
Not a fit: Patients who have previously undergone oral challenges for the same allergen or who oppose participation will not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could improve treatment options for children with food allergies, potentially leading to better management and quality of life.
